When she turned 41 and got breast cancer just like her mother before her, Caroline Lambert had to challenge her lifelong belief that she was nothing like her mother. So she set out using her journalism expertise to discover everything she could about her deceased mother.
What she found were distant echoes through time, even as she sat in her mother’s childhood bedroom. It was too late to truly know her mother because she had no record of her thoughts, beliefs, or life stories. This loss sparked in Caroline a deep passion to help other families to have a portal into the lives of their elders. So she decided to use her journalistic skills to help elders leave a legacy by writing a memoir.
