Shelley Pernot found her soul inspiration in the darkest moments at BP energy firm with the Deepwater Horizon incident. You might remember this 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico which is considered “the largest accidental marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry” (Wikipedia).
Watch this interview to learn how being in leadership at BP during this oil spill fueled Shelley’s desire to develop authentic leaders that welcomed Courageous Conversations, and led to her life passion to help individuals live and lead authentically and purposefully.
Shelley is now a recognized expert on Mindfulness in the workplace, the founder of True North Coaching and Development, and a collaboration partner with the University of Texas at Austin to develop Mindfulness programs for business leaders. She is the author of Running on Empty: The Irreverent Guru’s Guide to Filling Up with Mindfulness.
